Islands of Polynesia FAQ
-
What time do the Island Villages open?
Plan to arrive by 12:00 pm. The Welcome Center opens at noon, entry into the Islands of Polynesia begins at 12:15 pm, and cultural presentations across all six Island Villages begin at 12:30 pm. Arriving around noon also gives you time to check in and get settled before the afternoon schedule begins. If you want to eat lunch at the PCC, there are lunch options at the Hukilau All-You-Can-Eat Lunch and Hukilau Marketplace starting at 11:00 am.
-
Can you visit all six Island Villages in one day?
Yes, many guests explore all six Island Villages in one afternoon, especially with a self-guided plan. If you do not finish everything, you may return for Island activities over the next two consecutive business days, which gives you more time to revisit presentations, activities, and demonstrations.
-
Where can I find the village map and presentation times?
The easiest option is the Polynesian Cultural Center app. It includes a GPS-enabled map, activity details, upcoming presentations, and a My Day itinerary feature. You can also review the day’s schedule in the app or on the printed material you receive when you arrive, so it is easier to move through the Island Villages with less guesswork.
-
What happens if I miss a village presentation?
Missing one presentation does not have to derail your day. There are several presentation times for each Island Village throughout the afternoon, so there is often another chance to catch that experience later. The PCC app also helps you see what is coming up next and adjust your route as you go.
-
What is included in the Islands of Polynesia experience?
The Islands of Polynesia experience is a self-guided visit through six Island Villages at your own pace. Your visit includes hands-on activities, cultural presentations, Huki: A Canoe Celebration, canoe rides, the Iosepa Learning Center, Hawaiian Journey Theater, and the Lāʻie tram tour, depending on the day’s operating schedule.
